Biography

Christine was born and raised in the vast bituminous coal fields of north-central Pennsylvania.  Her hometown had one traffic light, one funeral home, and a volunteer fire department.  There was also a flourishing slow-pitch softball league (photo evidence provided).

Christine attended college at the University of Pittsburgh and Baker College, where she earned a bachelor's and master's, respectively, in non-writing related fields.

She has a fiction certificate from the UCLA Extension Writers Program, and she has also taken classes with Creative Nonfiction and Gotham Writers.

She received her Master of Liberal Arts in Creative Writing from the Harvard Extension School in November of 2023.

As she was born and raised in a commonwealth, Christine can now only abide the rarefied air of non-states—which is why she now calls Massachusetts home (despite a marked indifference to Dunkin Donuts and non-rhotic accents).
